Apple Store, Regent Street, London - one of the leading brands secured in the revitalisation of Regent Street.
Project: The repositioning of Regent Street as one of the most important retail streets in London and as a strong office location, through asset management and development.
The Crown Estate set aside a £500m revitalisation fund to fund the development/refurbishment work and implement the programme of changes.
Key developments included the iconic Apple Store, National Geographic store, the Habitat store, the redevelopment of DickIns & Jones, The Crown Estate's new headquarters and major new office schemes such as One Hanover Street. The development of the Quadrant at the southern end of the street which is currently under construction is the next stage in this process.
Role: Strategic Adviser for repositioning & re-development of this flagship shopping location
To devise and then implement a strategic plan to reposition /improve the estate and take advantage of key development opportunities along the street, thereby improving the income from the estate and its value.
Major international brands and pre-lets were key to establishing the successful basis of this project.
Result: Regent Street successfully recaptured it's status as premier shopping location in London
Regent Street has now recaptured its place as one of London's premier shopping streets and has become a serious office location in the West End. Six retail and office developments/refurbishments have been completed since 2000 and further projects are under construction/proposed.
